The stunning beauty of snow
13th March 2003 by Simon
I’m gradually going through the blogs of the people I met at South by South West (SXSW) and reached boingboing, co-edited by Cory Doctorow.
My eye was draw to an entry on snow crystal photography, using a technique called photomicroscopy.
These snow flakes, especially the ones captured by Patricia Rasmussen, have such astonishing beauty in their delicate repeating structures, it actually brings a tear to my eye. If I wasn’t an athiest, I’d be using this kind of thing as proof of god.
