Thatcher upstages Daughter?

It was with some delight that I heard that Carol Thatcher, daughter of an ex-leader of the UK, had won I’m a celebrity Get me out of here.
Why did I smile to myself with delight? Well, I hadn’t seen a single episode of this over-long running reality TV show. It hadn’t even entered my thoughts over the period. Hurrah.
Following hards on the heals of this announcement was the news that her Mum, had been taken into hospital, not feeling that well.
Surely Mum isn’t so fixated by her now-faded fame that she had to try and upstage her daughter through illness.
