Rolls-Royce Phantom $800k In China! There’s a piece in Business Week about the rise of luxury cars in China.

I was amazed to see that the Rolls-Royce Phantom is about £800,000 after import tax!

The anorak in me tells me this probably wasn’t actually taken in China. The number plate is Hong Kong and although I have visited neither is probably taken there. I could ask someone who I know to have a look but it could even be Lisle Street. Almost.

That’s some eagle-eyes you’ve got there - and some useful knowledge to boot.

You’ve prompted me to look at the plate again - looks like it might have been photoshop’d, no?
