Return to past glories, after a fall

I was looking through the features and functions of Apple’s Final Cut Pro 3. Amongst the interesting features was the Autosave Vault. It saves and time-stamps projects at intervals specified by you, allowing you to easily return to previous stages of your project.
An excellent Apple touch - take the technology out of it and put it in terms that people understand.
