Remove Plazes HowTo

Oh joy of joys!
I’ve finally managed to get Plazes off my machine. I can’t tell you how many ways I’ve tried to get it off.
I originally found it a pretty cool idea, but when I realised that my home location was shown, I decided not to use it any more.
Over the last 3-4 months I’ve just learnt to ignore it, but I’m reviewing Vodafone’s USB 3G data modem at the moment. When I connect via it, Plazes keeps on coming back at me asking to authorise access to the Keychain (being Mac based). Each time I denied it, it asked again. Infuriating.
Sitting on this train I decided to finally rid myself of it. Off to Google …
I had to laugh when I saw someone (Andy Roberts) had put it down on his list of 43 things to do (they’re normally equally difficult things like climb K2).
The long and the sort of it is Option-click-drag the icon off the toolbar. Yes … that’s it! As simple as that. Man I wished they’ve have made it a menu option instead.
