Popbitch inaccuracies

I’ve posted items quite a few times from Popbitch - always with the disclaimer that their information isn’t that reliable. Solid proof arrived today in their latest newsletter:-

RADIOHEAD There There
Drummer Ed O’Brien broke his drumstick while
recording this song on Jools Holland’s show.
As anyone who even has a vague knowledge of the band knows, Ed plays guitar.

And if u had a vague knowledge of Radiohead u’d have realised that “There, There” has 3 drummers on the track for the first couple of minutes - Ed being one of them - schmuck!

Guilty - I don’t have even a vague knowledge of Radiohead beyond what the average man in the street knows - ie very little. That’s why I thought that describing guitarist Ed as “Drummer Ed” was incorrect - it leads you down the path of thinking he is the drummer don’t you think?

You may be right, or you may be wrong, but thanks for being so pleasant and gently sharing the detailed information of where you say he did play drums.
