Photo’s of London FlashMob ##1 - Using TypePad
9th August 2003 by Simon
I signed up for the TypePad trial and thought I’d give the photo blogging section a go to show the pictures from the London FlashMob ##1 on Thursday night. (BTW - this is my favorite photo)
Generally I was pretty impressed with the software. The main sticking point for me was the image upload, which is done in the same slightly clumsy way that web-based photo management system generally work. There is a form and you have to browser for each of the x images and then hit the upload - the same way that Gallery does. Gallery of course brought out a Java based upload that made it possible to highlight and upload multiple files. I hope TypePad go the same direction or find something better.
Tip - When you first set it up the photo section of TypePad, crops the thumbnails into a square, by default. A pretty cool feature that works well, but if you decide you want to the original rectangle shape to be used, you’ll need to re-upload the images after you change the setting - it doesn’t just re-adjust them.
