Paul Kaye - slipped

Paul Kaye (UK comedian - previously know as Denis Penis) has slipped in my estimations.

It’s the start of November and he’s on telly advertising christmas at Woolworths. It’s not that he’s done an advert for Woolworths, it’s just becoming clearer that he’s a bit of a cheeser.

On reflection, it slipping further as his last show, Liar, wasn’t that good.

I totally agree with you about the woolworths add, but I loved his character of Kenny in ten thousand miles of sky his acting was brilliant especially his death. he won me over again

well I really liked the gameshow Liar - I thought it gave paul a good chance to get back into the comdey part of his talent… also kenny — I just like the fact that he’s back!

well I think he’s FAB, cheesy ads, Liar, 2000 acres et al.more, please Paul, your adoring public (well, me) demands it! Any chance of the revitalised Dennis Pennis puting in an appearnce at the Edinburgh Fringe this year?

Why was Paul axed from 2000 acres? I heard he was written out? Is it true? Has he been a bad boy?

Have any of you been into the website www.bringbackkenny.co.uk. There are loads of people fighting for his return to the series. Also log onto the BBC drama message board directly or through the 2000 Acres website.

Charlotte - I seem to recall the Denis Penis character was a guest spot that he did on other people shows, but it was quite a number of years ago. I don’t know more than that, sorry.

Dennis Pennis did appear on a morning show, I think it was “The Sunday Show” but I’m not positive.

  12. on 02 Jan 2004 at 9:58 pm johnny

Yeah, Pennis was on the Sunday Show - brilliant!
    Liar - very good!
Blackball - saw it being filmed down in Torquay while on holiday, so went to the cinema for the first time in ages to watch it - well worth it!
People go on about Peter Kaye, but Paul Kaye could have a better future!

Dennis Penis had quite a few one off shows, which were then turned into vidoes, namly ‘Penis pops out’ ‘anyone for penis’ and the best ‘Dennis penis, too rude to live’ where you get an array of new characters. very funny

if anyone knows where i can purchase a copy of ‘ too rude to live, i would be grateful, thanks

Loved Pennis but did Paul Kaye do a sketch show ever? There’s a sketch I’ve seen where he’s teaching Japanese students English Fighting techniques and it cracked me up.

    Can anyone help?

This is a message for Paul . I hung out with him in 1994 or 1995. He was staying at the Chateau Marmont. Tell him to email me if he can. I’ll tell him more to remind him of those days but in private. Sincerely J.T.
