Wow. There a word, known in it’s politest form as C U Next Tuesday by some, that is so much a taboo in the US, that even big, burly red necks won’t think, never mind say.
Well Jane Fonda gone and said it on one of the biggest TV programmes in the US, breakfast show, Today.
Don’t watch this if strong language offends you.
Post showing it, panic clearly ensued at the TV station, leading to an on-air apology.
I’ve just come across a site with a great — and sadly accurate — twist on the famed Warhol quote. Their version “In the future everyone will be anonymous for 15 minutes,” given the amount of personal information around and the ease of access via the Internet, this could indeed become a dream.
Searching on it, I’ve found a reference to the quote back in October 2007, by Dana Kennedy.
They came across as really tired - emotionally and physically.
The capacity crowd appeared to like it, bobbing up and down to them, but for me they were terrible and I couldn’t quite see the point of them existing.
Thanks very much to the lovely people who secured my entrance to the gig. Tickets were £20.60!

This one’s a little hard to describe. It’s a video which combines pool tables, a single pool cue, dominoes and the potting of many pool balls on those three pool tables.
We had a contact from a reader of Ventnor Blog to help contact a friend of his that had been written about on the Blog.
I popped over to the enquirers Web site and found a fantastic collection of photos which I’d recommended having a look at. One that really jumped out was the shot here of a Neon cement mixer which looks amazing.
I love the idea behind it - creating an art work from a highly practical work tool.
Hosting company 1&1 have been taking money from my credit card on a monthly basis, despite me having cancelled the hosting agreement on 7 Sept.
I’ve had mail back and forth with them about it , but it’s all gone quiet and the money is still being withdrawn.
Not only is their service the worst hosting I have ever encountered, but they now appear to have the most inept billing department - unless it their policy to continue to take money from people who have cancelled their contract. Wouldn’t be a bad way to get rich - if it wasn’t morally bankrupt.
This is the amazing bit - You Can’t Stop Credit Card Payment
I called the credit card company today to get them to stop paying 1&1 - and guess what? You cannot get payments made from your credit card stopped. You have to pass it over to the credit card’s dispute department and they’ll talk it over with the company.
I’m amazed at how open to abuse this is. There’s no problem stopping direct debit payments, but with credit cards, you’re at the mercy of the credit card company and the company taking the money out of your account.
Beware of signing up with Credit Card payment - near impossible on the Internet - you are not in control.
