Microsoft XP: Gender? male or “bitch”

Tom Edwards, head of Microsoft’s geopolitical strategy unit, presented at the International Geographical Union congress in Glasgow. He detailed a number of blunders that the company had made, which given its size and distribution of products is pretty inevitable.
A Spanish language version of Windows XP, destined for Latin American markets, gave users an option to select their gender from not specified, male or “bitch”, due to an unfortunate error in translation.Err yes, you could see how that might cause offence.
