Mark Thatcher - “unwittingly” involved in coup
13th January 2005 by Simon
The lovely Mark Thatcher, son of the even lovelier Margaret Thatcher has just been found guilty of being involved in a plot to overthrow the government of Equatorial Guinea, by “unwittingly” financing a helicopter. He’s been fined about 0.25m pounds and sentenced to 4 years in jail - suspended for five years.
He now will be turning states evidence in the case.
How do you give evidence if you were involved “unwittingly”?
