Mariah Carey’s Puppies

Holy Moly has covered some of the demands that Mariah Carey throws out as she trips around the global being in the media and tuning her fabulousness.
I heard the MTV section of their story last week, direct from a v. senior MTVer, but he provided more detail.
Given the story is now in the public domain, I’ll fill in the detail at the bottom.
It recently cost Universal Music £1million to look after Mariah Carey for three weeks while she traveled to Japan and Europe.They drew the line at Cristal in the limo and hotel rooms. Her rider seemed pretty normal though - apart from the black paper on all windows.
Not quite the same story @ MTV though… She got stuck into her legendary request of ‘A handful of “really cute” puppies to stroke.’
MTV duly obliged and sourced a bunch of the cutest bits of fluff since Cheryl Tweedy.
Unfortunately they behaved like bad little animals (like Cheryl?)and were completely restless, weeing everywhere.
Mariah went mad, so someone drugged the dogs.
Mariah happy. World Happy.

Here’s how I heard it. Maria was due at MTV Camden for an interview. Arriving three hours late, she refused to use their Green room insisting on her own caravan. Now we’re not talking about this type of caravan, more a Winnebago.
Somehow MTV rustled one of these up within an hour. Maria dug her heals in again - she wouldn’t grace it with her presence unless there were white puppies gamboling around inside it.
The music businesses being what it is, they found the required pups.
The drugging of the dogs wasn’t mentioned, so put that one down to Chinese whispers.
Oh, and apparently it is true - she doesn’t do stairs.
