Laser record player

While researching vinyl controlled mp3 mixing (if that’s not a mouthful) I came across a laser record player. While ignoring the expense and the unbelievable ugliness of the device, which it reminded me of the early Philips laser disk players, I thought it was an interesting idea and it was shocking to see what can happen to your records. It’s costly, with prices starting just short of $10k plus $500 for the record cleaner and if you’re a coloured vinyl fan, you’re out of luck as this is only calibrated for black vinyl.
