iPod battery direct action

There have been a number of reports that the rechargeable battery in the early Apple iPod’s stop holding a charge after about eighteen months of usage - leaving the player unusable unless plugged into the mains.
Currently Apple’s only solution is to send the iPod to them, as the battery is held within the tightly packed devices, and pay $255 to have it “refurbished”. Not everyone is happy about this, and some are taking direct action stencilling iPod posters. They also made a short film about it.

this is true but u can also buy a new battery for $60 and then just swap it yourself. much easyier then the alternative, if u want the website e-mail me i will bet back to you. also there is a 7 min movie about this guy telling you how to change the battery for those of us who need to see this to beliave it.
yeah I bought the replacement battery from http://www.laptopsforless.com/mp3playerbattery/apple-ipod-Battery and it workd great. I wold recommend the site and the replacement battery if you iPod battery is not holding a charge.
