Help with neologism

These days there seems to be an explosion of newly manufactured word, usually by bonding two words together or twisting current words - that I now know as neologism.

The Word Spy is a useful tool for helping you keep up with them. It not only gives an definition and an example citation but attempts to identify its earliest citation.

My favourite of today is ignoranus, which it isn’t surprising to see was first used by Victor Lewis-Smith.

Interesting site. I find it fantastic how descriptive a single word can be.
