Five year on this blog

By sheer luck I’ve noticed that today is the fifth birthday for this blog. I’d been adding some entries and happened to glance at the On This Day plugin results. I recognised the entry as one I made near the beginning and sure enough it was _the_ first.
I’ve been posting slight longer in a blog style on Digital-Lifestyles or Broadband Entertainment News as it was then, but I’ve been making notes on technical-relevant items since the days of my Psion 3 (They’re sitting in the pile of floppy disk backups I’ve got stored away).
Ideally I’d be doing a retrospective post about all of the things that have changed since then. Perhaps it’s something I’ll get around to …
(On the practical side - it’s been on three software platforms. Originally Blogger, then MovableType on my own Web space, now WordPress.)
