Enron Broadband trial delayed

I had some dealings with Enron Broadband a few years ago. Their office was highly impressive with its plan view being a giant E. We wanted to get down to business, but the meeting with them was the most aimless, pointless one I’ve every attended. They droned on about their exclusive 30 year deal with Blockbuster but didn’t appear to actually want to do any other business, so we finished up early as it was clear we were wasting our time. A while after, the Blockbuster deal fell apart. I wasn’t at all surprised, after all who does a twenty-year deal with a technology supplier.
The trial of the senior people at Enron Broadband has been delayed until October 2004 from its previous April date as the defence teams have pleaded that they cannot ingest the 20 million pages of government discovery documents.
It will be interesting to hear the details of the Blockbuster deal when the trial comes around.
