First evening at SXSW
9th March 2003 by Simon
We (David Galbraith, Thomas Korte, Alexander Korte and I) went to the opening party last night which was OK, but a little lifeless. We then went on to a party at someone’s house, which felt as if it was close to the real Austin. After catching a cab to a bungalow in South Austin, the atmosphere was relaxed, people casually chatting in the semi-darkness. After a while a singer with a guitar and a backing track struck up on the PA in the garden and sang some of his own songs with really amusing lyrics, like Canadian Girl.
Overall, a good evening.
Just off to the conference.
