dSLR: Old Dog, New Tricks
13th September 2006 by Simon
dSLR’s have been pulling on by get-me glade for about 18 months now, so getting a backstage/stage pit pass for the Bestival took me over the edge, to splurge.
New things to cope with - RAW images (different s/w - and possibly processing -needed) of ~10Mb each (storage a big issue - remember Emidio recommend Verbatim DVDs). Of course I have no idea how to use it currently either.
Having the large images is great, giving freedom to crop images, pretty heavily without loss of image quality. The added advantage of seemingly infinite zoom on the image give a lot of creative possibilities with using large blowups of small sections.
Looking forward to photo printing on canvas. I’ve found a few companies doing it. Also machines, like this too.
