"The most important thing about batting is getting the bat to hit the ball." Michael Holding, Sky (source:Colemanballs, Private Eye)

I’ve been troubled for sometime about the fact that airlines now recycle the air within the air planes, and they have done for about ten years. Prior to that, air was taken from the outside and it would pass through the plane, but this was stopped because it was more expensive than recycling.

It’s significantly less healthy to recycle the air, as germs are also being recycled at the same time. This is why after a plane journey, you’re more likely to get a cold. Speaking to an air stewardess on a recent flight she said getting ill was just an excepted part of the job.

Given the hugely worrying outbreak of airborne infections, isn’t it time to force the airlines to change their dangerous recycling policy?
