Comparing SPV & SPV2 (E200)
When I first saw the Orange SPV (Sound, Pictures, Video), the first commercial GPRS phone to use the Microsoft ‘Smartphone’ 2002 OS, I was really excited about it. It looked like it had everything; you could carry around the contents of your MS Outlook as it duplicated all of your […]

New toy alert - my Orange SPV (Sound, Pictures, Video) arrived this morning.
It really looks pretty great. It’s height is about 2cm less than a Nokia 6210 and it’s a little bit thicker. The colour display screen is about twice the height of the 6210 and it’s keypad is about the same size as […]

Using my mobile phone in the car last week got me thinking.
I know some car manufacturers, such as Saab, build support for mobile phones into their cars, but it’s usually just a cradle and the ability to auto-mute the HiFi when a call comes in. The hands-free kits normally place the microphone by the sun […]

While researching vinyl controlled mp3 mixing (if that’s not a mouthful) I came across a laser record player. While ignoring the expense and the unbelievable ugliness of the device, which it reminded me of the early Philips laser disk players, I thought it was an interesting idea and it was shocking to see what can […]

The totally fantastic looking, sex-on-a-stick, handheld or HipTop, as they’ve christened it, device from UK company Danger has had it’s release date in the US and UK knocked back. It sounds like there’s been a battle-royal between mobile service providers trying to get exclusive rights to the device.
