The lovely Mark Thatcher, son of the even lovelier Margaret Thatcher has just been found guilty of being involved in a plot to overthrow the government of Equatorial Guinea, by “unwittingly” financing a helicopter. He’s been fined about 0.25m pounds and sentenced to 4 years in jail - suspended for five years.

I’m hearing that there is much quaking at the BBC. There’s strong (unconfirmed) whispers flying around that there will be a lot of people laid off/sacked/fired on 7 December - possibly up to 20% of the staff. Nice - just in time for Xmas.
