Hurrah. Got hold of a TV24 today.
It’s a little bit tatty and will need some work to get it back in rude health - but that can come later.
Here’s the bonus - £20.
(I’d take a photo, but it’s dark now, so here’s a link, it’s the sixth one down)

I received an email from Ben Wilson about his new show, CarpetFixation, which servered as a reminder to re-look at his site and designs.
He has strong ideas that use recent automated production techniques enabling the relatively simple production of items such as his ChairFix. It’s a totally flatpack chair, routed out of a single sheet […]

You may think lighting is less-than-fascinating, but I think you’d be wrong.
Technology is only just starting to make changes to this world. LED lighting and flat lighting panels are only just the start.
It looks like Lightfair 2005 may have be a place to start to see those changes. Sadly it’s was in New York and […]

Francis Crick’s papers have been put online by the Welcome Trust. They include the first sketch he made to explain DNA’s helical structure. (I know the image is huge and disproportional to the text beside it, but it deserves it doesn’t it?)

Looks like Philippe Starck’s latest hotel project is getting some rave reviews, even from himself. Starck, calls it “the best creation I have ever done,” although it’s possible that he says this at the end of each of his projects.
The Faena Hotel + Universe, Buenos Aires, Argentina does look stunning. Previously called El Porteño, it […]

I really should have mentioned this before. Renzo Piano design for a new tower to be built above London Bridge station, labelled the ’shard of glass’ by some, has been approved by John Prescott MP.
The radical design, which hasn’t been finalised, will make it the tallest tower in Europe. All very exciting.

How fantastic. Corey Clarke has created a 3D map of the tube, showing not only the relationship between the stations but giving an idea of how deep the tube is at some points, by showing where the lines rise and fall.

I stumbled on to another photo blogging site today, My Expression. Being that it had a good layout and similar function to Buzznet.com, I stumbled further into pay attention: beauty is everywhere, a collection by Renee Maxwell, which contains some stunning photos.
The site is well worth taking the time to have a detailed look […]

I’ve often found a lot of Gaudi’s work a bit too Gaudy - it’s the coloured tiles I find too much. Watching a documentry on the TiVo and I was introduced to two new building by him that, for me, take him to another level - Colegio Teresano and Cripta Colonia Güell.
Located in Coloma de […]
