Banksy plants art in NY galleries
30th March 2005 by Simon
I’m a big fan of Banksy. He started in East London and now travels the globe ‘doing art’.
I was in Berlin a couple of weeks ago, and saw a couple of his stencils. For the first time I realised that he doesn’t have to go to where his art is placed. All that is needed is one of his stencils (possibly posted there), a spray can, some skill and determination. Voilą, Banksy crosses the globe.
Great to see a stunt from him where he creates some authentic looking gallery type art and hangs it in NY galleries.
