It's for bashing the dust out of the mattress. (Jack Tweed)

I’ve been looking to take a daily backup of a file from a remote FTP server but couldn’t find a package that could 1) automate it 2) was reasonably priced.

I came across one that came close in automation stakes, but it overwrote the file of the previous days version each time. I wanted to build a library of daily files, so I could go back to any particular days file.

I explained this to the developer and after a period of time they’ve worked on it and have sorted it out. The directory that the file is saved into is now time and date stamped.

I’ve now set it up running on a server for a week and it appears to be running well.

General FTP software has been in trouble since Microsoft added FTP support to Windows Explorer, but Auto FTP Manager must be good, I’ve just paid for it.
