Last Friday a UK software engineer was refused the right to board a flight from Australia to the UK. The grounds? He was wearing an anti-Bush T-shirt and it was judged (!) as a terrorist incident.

The offending T-shirt had a photo of George Bush on it and the phrase “World’s #1 Terrorist” written above it. He was was given the option, that if he removed the T-shirt, he could travel on the flight.

He chose not to, so had to forfeit his ticket.

This is off the scale of bizarre/wrong/insane.

(I heard this on the radio early yesterday morning - but only once, it had been dropped from the later ones.)
